    Hello,

It seems to be an interesting tool. I installed it on my Windows7 but I cannot open any APPV5 XML file. I’ve got an popup error message ‘Unhandled exception has occured in your application.
    Any help should be welcome.

    Hi Olivier,

Could you please send me the XML file you trying to load into ACE to info at virtualengine dot co dot uk. I can then take a more detailed look and see why you are getting this error.

    Hi Nathan,

Thank you for replying. How can I upload the XML file ?
I cannot reply to your email as the email address is “donotreply@wordpress.com” and I do not see any way of attaching of file from this WEB site.

    Thanks in advance
    Olivier

Getting the same error as the one listed above by Olivier (and below :)). Any idea how this can be addressed?

To add to my comment below, issue seems to be happening on the Microsoft office 2013 app-v package, where the XML files 4.3MB in size. I’m able to open other (smaller) XML files with no issue. Is there maybe a limitation to the XML file size for this tool?

    Hi Fadi,

I’ve got a fix to the issues you’ve reported and just doing some final testing before releasing an update.

Any update? I still have same error, when I’m opening Office DeploymentConfig file. Size of XML is 4.7 MB.

    Hi kpyto32aigar

Version 1.3 was realesed a few weeks back that addressed various bugs. Can you please download the latest version and see if that resolves the errors.

I do get the same error message as above (Object reference not set to an instance of an object) when I tries to open a converted 4.6 package. The Converted package can be opened in the Sequencer and are also successfully deployed to computers thru SCCM, The package was missing all shortcuts (planned to use ACE for creating shortcuts).

ACE did open the package after I manually created the shortcuts in the XML user file.

    Hi Jafo,

Can you please email the XML file to support(at)virtualengine(dot)co(dot)uk and I’ll debug it for you.
